The thing in bold gives you the “gist” of the topic, and should be enough that you don’t need to read the rest if that’s all you care about. Everything else is simply extra information to help clarify details.
Even if the post is long, it is still shorter than many other options and is focused on getting to important details quickly.
Information about my sources is either scattered throughout the post or lumped at the end.
